Social Skills and Fitness: Empowering Autistic Children
Physical Activity
ClubSENsational Autism Consultancy Services
What do we offer?
We offer the opportunity to enjoy a fun, structured, and engaging Physical Activity with a certified Personal Trainers from our dedicated Autism specialists team.
Engaging in regular physical activity provides a wide range of benefits for autistic individuals and those with learning difficulties, including improved cardiovascular health, enhanced fine and gross motor skills, better postural awareness, increased engagement in social activities, and much more.
Being active can significantly boost mental health by fostering a sense of accomplishment, confidence, and self worth. This is especially crucial for children with learning difficulties, as they can learn to appreciate their abilities and develop a more positive self-image through physical activity.
Our Fitness sessions include a variety of activities to achieve different goals:
- Strength exercises (jumping exercises, use of weights, and resistance training)
- Cardio exercises (outdoor activities, cardio machines, and music-guided activities)
- Problem-solving activities (circuits, physical challenges, and body control exercises)
Developing and improving motor function offers a range of benefits that can greatly impact everyone’s life. These include improvements in sleep quality, energy regulation, alertness, self-confidence, and self-worth, along with positive effects on cognitive, perceptual, social, and emotional abilities.
Our goal is to increase the amount of planned and personalised physical exercise available to our clients so they can fully enjoy these benefits!

Where Fitness is More Than Just a Fitness Session
At clubSENsational, we understand that everyone has unique needs when accessing fitness activities. That is why our fitness sessions are personalised to each student’s individual requirements, making fitness more than just a lesson.
1 to 1
We provide personalized, one-on-one support during each session to meet every student’s unique needs. By embracing a person centred approach, we tailor our sessions around their strengths and challenges, fostering an environment where they feel valued and understood. We aim to adapt to each student, empowering them to thrive in their learning journey.
STRUCTURED SESSIONS & VISUAL AIDS
We believe in the importance of verbal and nonverbal communication. To make learning more engaging, we use resources like mini-schedules, routine lists, instruction grids, first, next, and then boards, and Augmented Alternative Communication boards. This allows each student to learn at their own speed, providing a customized learning experience. Each session is well-structured, with clear expectations and a familiar routine, helping students feel safe and confident as they progress.
Emotional Regulation
We prioritize fostering a calm and supportive environment that enhances emotional regulation. Using sensory-appropriate techniques empowers students to manage their emotions effectively and feel comfortable in various settings, leading to a positive and enjoyable experience. Our instructors build trust and focus on each individual’s unique needs, encouraging communication, confidence, and emotional well-being growth.
