What do we offer?
clubSENsational offers the opportunity to enjoy a fun, structured and engaging Fitness program with a certified Personal Trainer and Exercise and Health specialist from our Autism specialists team.
Engaging in regular physical activity offers a wide range of benefits for autistic people and people with learning difficulties, such as improved cardiovascular health, better fine and gross motor skills, better postural awareness, more engagement in social actions, and many more.
Being active can improve mental health by providing a sense of accomplishment, confidence, and self-worth. This is especially important for children with learning difficulties, who can learn to appreciate their abilities and develop a more positive self-image through physical activity.
SUPPORT
We offer 1 to 1 support at all times during our sessions with Autism Specialists / SEND teachers highly trained on the field.
Our Fitness sessions are designed and delivered by a certified Personal Trainer and Exercise and Health specialist who is also an Autism Specialist.
Prior to the first session, a health questionnaire (PAR-Q) will be given for signing to make sure our service users are eligible for this service.
GYM/ACTIVITIES
Our Fitness sessions include different activities to accomplish different goals:
Strength exercises
(jumping exercises, use of weights and resistance training)
Cardio exercises
(outdoor activities, cardio machines and music guided activities)
Problem-solving activities
(circuits, physical challenges, body control and body awareness problems)

Through the session, breaks are given to meet the needs of our service users and offer them a pleasurable and enjoyable experience as well as a moderate-to-vigorous level of activity.
VISUAL AIDS
All of our Fitness Sessions are well structured and supported with visual aids.
We use mini-schedules, routine list, instruction grids, first, next and then boards and Augmentative Alternative Communication boards.
Visual aids are very important during our sessions as they help our clients to remember what is happening at all times.

These are improvements in sleep quality, quantity, and regulation; energy regulation; alertness; confidence in self; sense of self-worth; positive effects on cognitive, perceptual, social and emotional abilities.
Our goal is to increase the amount of planned and personalised physical exercise that our clients are offered so they can enjoy the benefits of it.

Our fitness sessions take place on Mondays and we have two time slots available.
